Drift and breathe both cycle on the loop length, so the held state is a seamless loop — record after the bloom finishes.
Blur is the strongest control here. Too little and the lines go scratchy; too much and the form dissolves.
Save PNG writes the canvas at its backing resolution, so on a retina display you get a 2× still.
